  Indolfo Luna

  DPM

  Dr. Indolfo Luna became inspired to pursue podiatric medicine during his undergraduate years. “I was interested in how specialized podiatry school was and how podiatrists work a lot with diabetic patients,” he explains. Dr. Luna strives to treat his patients like family and enjoys getting to know them beyond their health concerns. He takes pride in educating patients on ways to keep their feet healthy. “The best part of my job is seeing how happy people are after receiving much-needed podiatric care,” he says. In his spare time, Dr. Luna loves walking and hiking. He especially likes visiting the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Dr. Luna also finds enjoyment in completing Suduko puzzles and reading history or historical fiction books.

  Olujoke Brimah Jones

  MD

  “I have always wanted to be in a position where I make an impact on the healthcare needs of the community,” Dr. Olujoke Brimah Jones explains. She adds, “I believe in caring for the patient as a whole, not just treating the disease.” Her favorite part of being a physician is “seeing people recover from an illness and going back to living a normal life.” To keep up with the latest medical advancements, she attends conferences and regularly engages in research. She also “runs a charity that takes volunteers on medical missions to Africa.” When not caring for patients, Dr. Jones can be found designing and decorating clothing and household items. She also enjoys quilting, traveling, and going to concerts.

  Michael Engel

  MD

  Since his teenage years, Dr. Michael Engel has “wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and help them be well and stay well.” He elaborates, “I love to hear when a patient has been able to make a positive change.” He finds it rewarding to care for the senior population and always listens to his patients’ concerns to “help them find the best solutions.” He explains, “I want to partner with you to find your way to a healthier, happier life.” If Dr. Engel could change anything about healthcare today, he would remove the financial focus and burden. When not with patients, Dr. Engel can be found spending time with family or traveling. He also has a saltwater aquarium and likes growing hydroponic herbs and vegetables.

  Latha Cherath

  MD, PhD, FACP

  From the time Dr. Latha Cherath was 8 years old, she wanted to take care of the sick and dying and provide care and comfort as only a physician could. So, after she finished her residency in Internal Medicine, becoming a hospitalist was a natural fit. “It was an honor to serve seniors during their hospital stays, but I missed the continuity of care” she says, and that was why she chose to join ChenMed. “I am dedicated to caring for seniors with the dignity and respect they deserve.” Dr. Cherath especially enjoys listening to her patients’ stories and providing education to support their health. Dr. Cherath has traveled around the world and volunteered in refugee camps and in medical clinics serving the poor. When she’s away from work, Dr. Cherath loves to spend time with her husband and children, listen to podcasts, read, write, go on long hikes, watch movies, and listen to music.

  F. Matt Kuhlmann

  MD, MSCI

  Dr. Matt Kuhlmann has always been interested in the biological sciences, especially infectious diseases. He aims to treat patients like family and wants them to feel comfortable discussing their health concerns. “I hope that my patients all enjoy a superb quality of life and remain in control of their goals and wishes as we all continue to age,” he says. In addition to caring for seniors as a physician, he has worked with seniors through his church and regional senior living organization. “I have gained a better understanding of the specific needs of St. Louis’ wisest population,” he says. When not with patients, Dr. Kuhlmann can be found watching his children’s basketball, baseball, and swim teams. He also likes reading, cycling, and cooking.

  Vincent Ngo

  MD

  For Dr. Vincent Ngo, “clear communication and encouragement” are essential. He loves educating patients on healthy living and how to better manage their conditions. His favorite parts of his profession are “forming relationships and promoting healthy living.” He recognizes that the senior population is at risk for a variety of medical issues and is grateful for the opportunity to work with them. If he could make any changes within the current healthcare system, he would place “more emphasis on preventative care and public education.” When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Ngo can be found cooking, traveling, or spending time outdoors. He also enjoys playing sports and practicing martial arts.
